Embed a Map, Form or Booking Page on Each Airtable Record
Show a page from another site inside each record's page in your portal, using a link stored on the record. A per-record map, intake form, ID check or signature request, shown only when your conditions match.
Some steps in a workflow happen on another site. An ID check, a signature request, a booking calendar, a map. Without a way to show them in the portal, you email each person a separate link and hope they find it.
A record embed puts that page on the record itself, so the step sits next to the information it belongs to.
What it does
Pick a field that holds a link, and each record's page shows the page that link points to. Because the link is read from the record, every record shows its own: the property's map, the client's booking page, the applicant's ID check.
- Conditions decide which records show it, so a form disappears once a status field says it is done
- Up to five embeds on a page, each with its own link field, allowed sites and conditions
- A heading and a height for each, and camera and microphone access for ID and selfie checks, off unless you turn it on
- The link field can be hidden from your users. Its value is only used for the embed
Why it matters
The usual pattern is an Airtable automation that creates something with a provider, an intake form or an e-signature request, and writes its link back to the record. The record embed is the last step: the person opens their record in the portal and the form is there, with no separate email to find.
It works just as well for things that never change. A Google Map on each property in a real estate portal is one field and one embed.
Only the sites you allow
Nothing is embedded until you list the sites it may come from. A link to any other site shows as a plain link naming that site, so your users can see where it goes. Your users never receive the settings themselves: the list of sites, which field holds the link, or your conditions.
Some providers refuse to be shown inside another site, which no browser lets the portal detect. That is why every embed has an "Open in a new tab" link under it.
How it works
Open a page's Display tab and add an embed under Record Embed: choose the link field, list the allowed sites, and add conditions if you want them. The record embeds guide covers each setting, how several embeds on one page behave, and what to check when a provider shows a blank area.
Who it is for
Any portal where part of the job happens elsewhere: application portals with an ID check or a signature, contractor compliance with a provider's signature step, real estate and location management portals with a map on each site, and service businesses with a booking page per client.

Record Detail Pages and Summary Fields
Choose which fields appear on the row or card and which live on the record's dedicated detail page, so a list stays readable without hiding anything.
FeatureRelated Tabs: A Record's Linked Records, In Place
Surface linked records on a record's detail page, in a tab or underneath the record's own fields, so a project's invoices, files and tasks are on the project, not in a separate table.
